2See it as Anki shows it
The .apkg adds a Basic and a Cloze note type in this style, with one sample card each — delete the samples, the note types stay. Or paste the CSS into Tools → Manage Note Types → Cards → Styling of a note type you already use: font, colours, size and the cloze look apply there; the card surface and corners need these templates.

Styling without writing CSS
- See it before Anki does. The preview uses the same markup Anki puts around a card, including the classes night mode adds, so what you see is what you study.
- Night mode included. Set separate night colours; they switch on automatically when Anki, AnkiMobile or AnkiDroid is in dark mode.
- Works on the note types you already use. Paste the CSS into a note type's Styling box: font, colours, size and the cloze look apply to Anki's own Basic and Cloze templates.
- Or take ready-made note types. The .apkg adds a Basic (with optional reversed card) and a Cloze note type in your style, each a separate note type so your existing ones are never touched.
How to use it
- Start from a preset. Highlighter, Ballpoint, Library, Mint or Terminal — then change any colour, the font, size, alignment and corners.
- Check every side. Flip between Basic and Cloze, front and back, day and night.
- Take it to Anki. Download the note types as an .apkg, or copy the CSS into Tools → Manage Note Types → Cards → Styling.

FAQ
Will this change my existing cards?
Only if you paste the CSS into one of your note types. The .apkg adds new note types named “AnkiForge Basic · <your style>” and “AnkiForge Cloze · <your style>” with one sample card each; your existing note types and cards are left alone.
Why does the .apkg contain sample cards?
Anki only imports a note type that at least one note uses. Delete the two sample cards after importing (they are tagged AnkiForge_sample) — the note types stay.
Which fonts can I use?
Font stacks that exist on most devices: a system sans-serif, a serif, a rounded face and a monospace. Each falls back to a similar font where the first choice is missing, so the card reads well on desktop and phones without bundling font files.
Does it work with image occlusion cards?
No. Anki’s built-in Image Occlusion note type draws its own masks; this styler covers Basic and Cloze cards.
