How it works

  1. Add your file. PDF slides, a PowerPoint deck, Markdown notes or a labelled diagram. It’s read in your browser.
  2. Say what the cards are for. Exam prep, everything on the page, compare and contrast, or drug cards. You see the cost before you start.
  3. Download for Anki. Cards appear as they’re made. Check the ones we flag, fix any mask, and download one .apkg.

Made for the Anki you already use.

FAQ

Does it work with scanned PDFs?

Card generation needs selectable text. For a scanned page, use “Occlude” on that page to turn it into an image-occlusion note instead — we detect the text on the image for you.

Which Anki versions can open the deck?

Cloze cards work in any recent Anki, AnkiMobile and AnkiDroid. Image-occlusion notes use the built-in Image Occlusion note type, which needs Anki 23.10 or newer on desktop and a current AnkiMobile or AnkiDroid.

What happens to my files?

Your PDF, PowerPoint or notes file is opened in your browser. Only the text of the pages you choose is sent to make cards, and only the diagrams you ask us to scan are sent for label detection. We do not keep the text, the images or the cards; your work in progress is saved only in this browser.

How much does it cost?

New accounts get 30 free credits. After that, credit packs start at $4.99. One credit is one page or slide turned into cards, or one diagram scanned for labels. If a run fails, its credits are refunded automatically. Downloading is free.

Will importing a second deck mess up my collection?

No. AnkiForge note types keep fixed IDs, so a second import reuses them instead of adding copies, and identical cards are not duplicated.

Can I edit the cards before downloading?

Yes. Every card is shown as it will read in Anki. Drop, restore or edit cards with the mouse or the keyboard (J/K to move, X to remove, E to edit, or check them one at a time). Cards with long answers or too much text are flagged.
